Open the dialpad and type in the number you want to call (or select it from your contacts)
Hit ‘call’ and you’ll immediately receive an incoming call
Answer the call, and your outgoing call will begin

Customers receive the call as normal—and know it’s coming from your business.

Taking calls
Incoming calls hit your mobile just like any other call—all you need to do is pick up. You can choose from multiple caller ID options: you could opt for your Rinkel line to show as ‘Business call’, or you can opt for the caller’s number to show.

Does a landline work abroad?

Yes, you can use your virtual landline abroad. You can have your Rinkel business line forwarded to a local number (to avoid roaming costs) in over 50 destinations, and continue using Rinkel just as you would in the UK—making and taking business calls at local rates.

Can I move my current landline?

No, it’s not! Traditionally, landlines were deskphones that were fixed in place. Now, with modern technology, landlines can be virtual and managed from anywhere your phone or laptop is.

Does Rinkel work using VoIP?

No, Rinkel uses your existing provider’s network on mobile—which is typically a stronger and more reliable VoIP alternative. You’re not dependent on an internet connection, and instead rely on the thousands of cellular towers dotted across the UK. This means high quality audio across more of the country—what’s not to like?

The only time you’ll be using VoIP technology is when making and taking calls on the My Rinkel desktop portal. Typically, this means you’ll be connected to your home or office WiFi, meaning you’ll be using your chosen internet provider for calls.
