Who are we?

Rinkel is a telecommunications scale-up founded in 2014 in the Netherlands. We offer a SaaS telephony platform that revolutionizes the way freelancers and small businesses communicate. We’re passionate about transforming a conservative telecom market, and we do this by designing and building intuitive software. Our fixed-to-mobile solution is currently providing over 7500 small businesses in the Netherlands and Belgium with flexible, fixed telephony on their mobile phones. For two years in a row, we’ve been proclaimed one of the fastest growing businesses in the Netherlands, but there’s so much more to us!

From development to marketing: everything is done in-house, which enables us to stay ahead of the competition. (It’s also way more fun this way!). We have a few small but amazing departments: Engineering, Marketing, Support and People, and it’s about time we added Sales to this list. We are growing in the Netherlands as well as internationally. We have recently launched in our first international location: Spain! We have lots of exciting plans for the future, so is time for us to focus on our partnerships and business development opportunities.

We have also recently opened a new office in Barcelona (right next to the beach!). To ensure team synergy and to integrate new hires into our current team, employees have the option to travel between Barcelona and Rotterdam on a regular basis. (You included!)

About the role

Our sales department is in its infancy. Essentially, that means you will get all the freedom to set up this new department! Of course, we have our ideas about how Rinkel will benefit from a dedicated Sales department, but it's up to you to research, explore and expand on the various possibilities!

The role will be evolving over time, but the bottom line is that you’d pioneer an entirely new growth opportunity for Rinkel and that we’re looking for someone with the experience to back yourself up, but the excitement of someone just starting out.


What you'll do

  • Grow Rinkel’s client base by acquiring new SME’s or freelancers (B2B with B2C characteristics)
  • Improve and build upon our existing sales propositions as well as creating new ones
  • Acquire new partnerships (both in existing areas as well as new ones)
  • Research and generate new sales channels as well as expanding current ones
  • Work closely with C-level and Team Marketing
  • If successful in the role, the opportunity to build and manage a small sales team will arise
  • In case of building and managing a team, the role would require you being a hands-on part of this team, making sure to always have a feel for Rinkel’s sales process
  • Create processes that are fit to scale
  • Set up, monitor and follow up on KPI’s
