Update April 2021: additional emails with billing, call recording and more

April has been a busy month for us! We’ve introduced a new bunch of features and made improvements to the My Rinkel app and the web environment. So you will get even more out of your Rinkel virtual number.

Here are the improvements we made in April:

  • You can now enter a description for your recordings, which will also appear in the overview when you hover your mouse over them;
  • You can enter additional email addresses on the billing page in My Rinkel. 
  • Useful when you have to send your invoices to several people;
  • We’ve resolved the issue we were having with direct debits.


And a final head's up about the free call recording that will expire for Rinkel Complete customers. As of 1 May 2021, the call recording function will be available for both Rinkel Basic and Rinkel Complete customers, for € 5 per month for your whole account. No matter how many users or numbers are in your account.

However, call recordings are now stored for much longer: 60 days instead of 7 days.

Description of recordings

From now on, you can enter a description for the recordings you use for things like your voicemail and welcome messages. Useful for keeping an overview of your recordings, without having to listen back to the entire sound clip. For example, when you have modified opening hours. If you hover over the actions of a recording, you will now see the description if you have entered one. TIP: You may find the following descriptions useful:

  • The period during which the recording may be used (e.g. opening hours);
  • When the recording should be used (e.g. if a colleague is absent for more than 3 days).

Additional e-mail addresses for billing

You can enter multiple email addresses for billing. Now available on the billing page in My Rinkel. Useful for when you have linked your billing to a CRM system, or if the invoice should also be sent to a colleague.

Don't be put off by the single input field: you can enter several e-mail addresses by separating them with a comma. For example: info@rinkel.com, support@rinkel.com. In this way, the invoices are sent to both info and support.

Please note: Payment reminders are not sent here. Payment reminders will only be sent to the e-mail address listed under Contact details in My Rinkel.
 

Direct debit issue resolved

More good news: the confusion around direct debits was also resolved in April.

Previously, the invoice stated that direct debits had not been paid. For example, after ordering a voice-over. But in most cases, they had been paid. This understandably created some confusion, so we have worked to solve the problem. And it worked!
 

Charging for call recording

From 1 May 2021 (this Saturday), all your call recordings will be stored for 60 days. This does mean that the free version for Rinkel Complete users will expire.

Do you want to continue recording calls? You can! The call recording function is now available for both Rinkel Basic and Rinkel Complete customers, for € 5 per month for your whole account. In other words, it always costs only € 5 per month, whether you have 1 user or 25, and whether you have 1 fixed number with Rinkel or 38.

Plus: call recordings will be stored for 60 days instead of the usual 7 days as of 1 May.

You can easily turn the call recording on (and off) in My Rinkel.
