WhatsApp Business: Now you can use it on several devices at once!

Do you already have WhatsApp Business with your Rinkel landline number? Then we have good news for you! WhatsApp has launched a BETA that you can try out. Be one of the first to manage your company's WhatsApp Business with several colleagues at the same time. 

It’s a real bonus, also for us. While previously only our colleague Mike could be reached via WhatsApp Business, now also our other colleagues, Arthur, Mikaela and Quintie can also be reached with the tool.

We had previously signed up for the WhatsApp BETA but were not selected. However, recently Mike noticed that we could use the new feature! So, we though you should know it too!

How does WhatsApp Business work with multiple users?

WhatsApp Business can still only be used on 1 phone. But, you can pair it with 4 computers or laptops without having to keep your phone connected. 

This makes it easier for you and your colleagues to handle your chats via WhatsApp Web on your desktop.

Why can WhatsApp Business still only be used on 1 phone?
We presume it is because there is still only one main user. 

You can also link new devices to your WhatsApp Business account from your phone. Plus, if you don't use your phone for 2 weeks, all the paired devices are disconnected again.

You should really think of it as an add-on to your existing WhatsApp Business account. The person with WhatsApp Business on their phone still has the most control.

So, while WhatsApp Business may not be a solution for a painting company where two groups are working in two different locations, but can always be reached by phone, it’s ideal for companies where a lot of work is done in the office.

How do I use WhatsApp Business with multiple users?

Good question! Fortunately, Whatsapp has made it quite easy for us.

Connecting multiple devices to your WhatsApp Business account

For the person who has WhatsApp Business on their mobile phone:

1. Go to WhatsApp Business on your mobile phone
2. Go to your settings (top right for Android, bottom right for iPhone)
3. Click on "Connected devices" and then on "Connect new device"
4. This will open your camera. Scan the QR code on your colleague's screen.

For a colleague who will use WhatsApp Business on their computer:

1. Go to web.whatsapp.com on your computer or laptop
2. A QR code will now appear for you to scan with your phone

PS: No landline number, but want to use your private WhatsApp with multiple users? The BETA is also available for your normal Whatsapp! Follow the same steps, just not in the WhatsApp Business app. ;-)
